Got the word yesterday...I'm headed to the desert. 120-180 days in Balad, Iraq. I can't wait, I can use a change of scenery. Things around here seem so repetitive....i think this is exactly what i need. I'm not sure exactly which unit I will be placed with but it doesnt really matter. Four months of no drinking, tax free pay, and desert sun should get me into great shape. My friends have already claimed who gets to "take care" of my stuff while I'm gone...however, nobody has claimed my pet scorpions. I think I'm going to get a tattoo of one this weekend that i have wanted for a long time, nothing else to really do. Well, thats all for now...I should be able to update this in the desert so I will let you know how its going over there...later!
